Lake Highland Prep's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Lake Buena Vista Vipers as the Lake Highland Prep Highlanders made off with a 21-12 win. With that victory, the Highlanders brought their scoring average up to 8.2 runs per game.

Payton Angle and Alina Shaikh did most of the damage at the plate: Angle scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances, while Shaikh scored three runs and stole three bases while going 5-for-5. Angle also brought in three RBI, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kiley Green, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.

Lake Highland Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lake Highland Prep's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Lake Buena Vista, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Highland Prep will host Freedom at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake Buena Vista, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Leesburg at 6:00 p.m.
