Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Reedley Pirates, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 28-21 to Wasco on Thursday.
Despite the loss, Reedley still got an impressive performance from Demetrius Vargas, who rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Richie Camacho was in the mix too, providing Reedley with two touchdowns.
Reedley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Wasco, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.
Reedley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wasco will look to defend their home field on November 17th against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. Liberty is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
