Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Matthew Mitchell stepped things up a notch to give Pinecrest Academy the 'W'. Mitchell got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.

Mitchell and Pinecrest Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Horizon Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on April 8. The Paladins had to take a loss when they last met the Warriors, but Mitchell had little to do with the loss: he scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
