Belton-Honea Path proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the West-Oak Warriors 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-1 back in March.

Belton-Honea Path is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for West-Oak, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.

Belton-Honea Path and West-Oak should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. The Bears will square off against Walhalla at 6:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (9 vs. 165). Meanwhile, West-Oak (ranked 34th) will meet Landrum (ranked 150th) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
