Mineral Ridge is 1-9 against McDonald since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Mineral Ridge Rams' road trip will continue as they head out to face the McDonald Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. McDonald took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Mineral Ridge, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Mineral Ridge made easy work of McKinley and carried off a 52-32 win. With that win, Mineral Ridge brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.
Mineral Ridge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Moore, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. The game was Moore's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Landon Bingham, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, McDonald came up short against Lakeview on Friday and fell 55-47. McDonald has not had much luck with Lakeview recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Mineral Ridge's win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2. As for McDonald, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Mineral Ridge came up short against McDonald in their previous meeting back in January, falling 57-47. Can Mineral Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
