This season hasn't been kind to the Bison Cardinals, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They took a 67-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Takini. Bison was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Takini apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Bison still got an impressive performance from Rylee Veal, who scored 35 points. The match was Veal's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Pier , who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Bison were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Bison bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Takini, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bison will take on Carter County at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Takini, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Flandreau Indian at 4:30 p.m. on January 13th.
