The Westminster Lions had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 21-10 win over Schurr on Friday. The win was just what Westminster needed coming off of a 42-7 loss in their prior contest.
Westminster can attribute much of their success to Ezekiel Cedillo, who rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown. Jason Mejia was in the mix too, providing Westminster with two touchdowns.
Westminster is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Schurr, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-2.
Westminster will take on Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. Schurr does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
