The Miami-Yoder Buffaloes will head out on the road to challenge the Hanover Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Miami-Yoder is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Wednesday, Miami-Yoder was able to grind out a solid victory over Colorado Springs School, taking the game 35-23.
Miami-Yoder's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Emma Book, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten steals, and Carley Bringhurst, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals. Book has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Natalie Tinoco was another key contributor, scoring three points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Hanover was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 38-32 to Arickaree.
Miami-Yoder's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Hanover, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Miami-Yoder came up short against Hanover in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 51-40. Can Miami-Yoder avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
