The Ventura Cougars will challenge the San Jacinto Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Ventura not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Segerstrom as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.
The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14, 25-20.
Ventura's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Fletcher Duffey led the charge by getting 21 digs and three assists. That's the most assists Duffey has posted over his last ten games. Theodore Souther-Pasquarella was another key player, getting three digs and one block.

If Cathedral City wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played San Jacinto, they should've done a better job of containing Joseph Gordon. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Lions 3-2 for which the team can thank Gordon, who had 23 digs and two assists.
