Hancock Central moved up to 190 from 224 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in A Region 7.
Lincoln County was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league.
Brooks Stroud and Brooks Stroud gave First Presbyterian Day a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Stroud threw for 58 yards and one touchdown, while Stroud ran for 154 yards. Teammate Will Black added to the ground attack by rushing for 25 yards.
Daniel Lindsey was the best wideout in the league this week as Aquinas defeated Josey. Lindsey tallied six receptions for 84 yards. Ruben Garnett helped Aquinas' passing attack out by catching one ball for 11 yards.
The Vikings' Stroud and Scott McCormick have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading A Region 7 in both passing and receiving yards. Stroud has thrown for 359 yards this season, while McCormick, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has nine catches for 246 yards. Deonte Franklin from the Bulldogs leads the league in rushing with 486 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Georgia Military College takes on Wilkinson County. At the moment, the Bulldogs are in first, while the Warriors are in sixth.
The Fightin' Irish took down the Eagles 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Lindsey in the win.
