After a string of four wins, the North Summit Braves's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 56-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Duchesne. North Summit was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Duchesne apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on January 5th.
When it comes to explaining why North Summit lost, one person who can't be blamed is Trevor Richins. Despite the final result, he scored 32 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Jake Smith was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
North Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Duchesne, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Summit will take on Grand County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Grand County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 14 games. As for Duchesne, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tabiona at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
