The Carson Colts will square off against the Bingham Miners at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Both teams are still undefeated (Carson has 16 wins dating back to last season, while Bingham has three).
It looked like the Kentucky Derby when Carson duked it out with Mira Costa on Saturday. Carson blew past Mira Costa 9-3. The result was nothing new for the Colts, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Isabella Campos tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
At the plate, Carson let Rylee Gardner and Kiarah Chukwudi run wild. Gardner scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Chukwudi scored a run while going 2-for-3. Gardner has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruby Grajeda, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Carson hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, everything went Bingham's way against Tooele on Monday as Bingham made off with an 11-1 victory.
Brooklynn Fogg was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Shyann Banasky was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
Bingham's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Carson, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Carson has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .435. However, it's not like Bingham struggles in that department as they've averaged .436. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
