Hector Lopez Delivers Best Effort of Season
Hector Lopez produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Greenwich to the win on Friday. Lopez rushed for 225 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (104.9) per game. Those 225 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Greenwich's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Lopez will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Westhill on Saturday.

Schoenberg Posts Huge Game in 28-0 Victory
Bear Schoenberg continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game with at least seven total tackles. He picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (4.0 for loss).
This year, Schoenberg has averaged 10 total tackles per game and for the season has 10.5 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 6.63 total tackles per game.

Caleb Wuchiski produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Trumbull to the win on Saturday. Wuchiski threw for 78 yards and two touchdowns on only seven passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Westhill's probably not too fond of Wuchiski given he always seems to get the better of them. Wuchiski threw for 260 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes the last time he and the Vikings duked it out back in November of 2023.

Stamford came up short on Friday despite Raphael Boynton delivering his best game to date. Boynton wasn't messing around, forcing a fumble and making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss). The matchup was his fourth straight with seven or more total tackles.
Stamford is on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8. Boynton and Stamford will take on Ridgefield at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
