Heritage was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Gretna. The Pioneers came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 34 last week.

Tunstall's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Chris Buckner threw for 77 yards and Brad Hylton had 35 yards receiving. On the ground Chase Scarce contributed 100 yards. Peyton Farrior helped Tunstall's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 26 yards.

An important game coming up in 3A Conference 30 this week will be when Liberty takes on Rustburg. At the moment, the Minutemen are in second, while the Devils are in fourth.
The Pioneers made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 887 from 1,194. The improvement was the result of 39-21 victory over Gretna last week.
