Basketball Recap: Whitehall-Yearling Now 12-1 over Last 13 Games

Whitehall-Yearling won the last time they faced Grandview Heights and things went their way on Saturday too. The Whitehall-Yearling Rams were the clear victor by a 67-46 margin over the Grandview Heights Bobcats. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Whitehall-Yearling's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyeona Myers led the charge by putting up 23 points and four steals. Myers is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Dukes, who posted 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Whitehall-Yearling smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matchups.

When it comes to explaining why Grandview Heights lost, don't look at Tatum Lusher. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 31 points and 12 boards. That was a full 67.4% of Grandview Heights' points, marking the 20th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Claire Callif was another key player, posting eight points and five rebounds.
