The Stuttgart Ricebirds will square off against the Rector Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Stuttgart is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.2 runs per game this season.

Stuttgart came out on top against Mills University Studies on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run second inning. The Ricebirds put the hurt on the Comets with a sharp 14-4 victory. The Ricebirds haven't had any issues with the Comets recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Hali Watkins made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Watkins was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 22 runs the game before, Rector was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against East Poinsett County, falling 14-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Rector now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Stuttgart, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
