Bay has enjoyed the comforts of home their last five games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Greene County Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Bay ended up a good deal behind Moss Point and lost 38-23.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 69 points the game before, Greene County were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were beaten by Pass Christian 62-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Greene County has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Greene County saw an underclassman step up: Jase Matthews scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Greene County struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Bay's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-16. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.3 points per game. As for Greene County, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
Bay ended up a good deal behind Greene County in their previous meeting two weeks ago, losing 40-22. Can Bay avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
