The Rockledge Raiders's found some homefield redemption this week after a tough overtime loss to the Palm Bay Pirates on Wednesday. Rockledge walked away with a 75-68 win over Palm Bay. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Rockledge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kiori Jordan-thomas, who scored 20 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jordan-thomas has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Terrence Shannon, who scored 14 points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Rockledge pushed their record up to 16-6 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.11 points. As for Palm Bay, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 16-5.
Rockledge won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Orlando Christian Prep at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. As for Palm Bay, they will be playing at home against Eau Gallie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Eau Gallie has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8.
