The Dobson Mustangs were the 68-52 winner over the North Mustangs when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Dobson suffered a tough 63-42 loss at the hands of the Mustangs on Friday. Dobson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Dobson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Demetrius Malone, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Tremaine Turner was another key contributor, scoring five points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Vicente Castro, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Castro hasn't dropped below 18 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Trystan Williams, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Dobson now has a losing record at 10-11. As for North, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-12.
Dobson and the Coyotes will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Skyline focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday. As for North, they and the Falcons will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Carl Hayden Community's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
