Basketball Recap: Burnet Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Burnet won the last time they faced Taylor and things went their way on Friday too. The Burnet Bulldogs came out on top against the Taylor Ducks by a score of 48-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Several Ducks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was TJ Whybrew, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 11 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadrien Deary, who posted nine points.

Burnet pushed their record up to 14-12 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Taylor, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burnet will venture away from home to challenge Lampasas at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for Taylor, they will head out to take on Marble Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Taylor is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
