Hampton County can attribute much of their success to Lyric Jones, who went 7 for 15 en route to 21 points and five rebounds, and Travaih Henderson, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 16 points and eight boards. Jones has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Faith Brooks was another key player, putting up four points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Bridges Prep came up short against Lake Marion on Friday, falling 62-37. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Gators are ranked 72nd).
Despite the loss, Bridges Prep saw an underclassman step up: freshman Addie Taylor posted eight points in addition to ten rebounds and six blocks.
Hampton County pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.5 points over those games. As for Bridges Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-13.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Hampton County has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 37.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Bridges Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
