Ridgeland were out to avenge their 14-35 defeat to Callaway from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Ridgeland fell just short of Callaway by a score of 34-36. The loss was a vexing one since Ridgeland were expected to win based on their state ranking.
The loss dropped Ridgeland's record to 4-3. The victory bumped Callaway's record up to 4-3.
Next week Ridgeland take on Vicksburg at 7:00 PM. As for Callaway, they will face off against Canton. Canton are limping into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
