While Talawanda didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-8), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Franklin Wildcats on Friday as they made off with a 35-10 victory. Lance Cantrell had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 212 yards and three scores while picking up 12.5 yards per carry. Cantrell is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 127 every time he's taken the field this season. They were just one part of a punishing run game: Talawanda was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 238 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 184 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Looking ahead, Talawanda will head out to square off against Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Brave will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
