Covenant Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They took down Central Georgia Arts 75-56. The win was just what Covenant Academy needed coming off of a 84-23 defeat in their prior matchup.
Covenant Academy was led to victory by Blake Bartow and Ryan Stevens. Bartow went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 1 assist, while Stevens dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds. Stevens is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last six games he's played. Seth Daughtery was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
Covenant Academy's win ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-14. As for Central Georgia Arts, they dropped their record down to 2-22 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Covenant Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Central Georgia Arts does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
