The Fyffe Red Devils suffered their biggest loss since November 20, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Sand Rock 73-42. Fyffe has struggled against Sand Rock recently, as their game on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Katelyn St.clair continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sand Rock, scoring 31 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Chloe Stephens was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Fyffe's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Sand Rock, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.
Fyffe will look to defend their home court on Friday against Asbury at 6:00 p.m. Sand Rock will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Piedmont at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Piedmont will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Sand Rock is ranked 82nd).
