At the plate, Kaileigh Byars was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Marisa Sawn, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Hanover kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
As for Glen Allen, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
On Glen Allen's side, Jaidyn Tillman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up 14 Ks.
On the hitting side, Alison Via made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hanover will challenge Cosby at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for Glen Allen, they will face off against Deep Run at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Jaguars 3.6, the Wildcats 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
