San Mateo moved up to 752 from 785 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Peninsula - Lake. The Bearcats were able to make the jump by beating Carlmont 20-13.
San Mateo's Taylor Sanft and Larry Campbell have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Sanft has thrown for 756 yards this season, while Campbell, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 24 catches for 393 yards. Justin Ewing from Capuchino leads the league in rushing with 1317 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Mustangs take on El Camino. Capuchino's offense has racked up 104 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Colts have allowed only 73 on the year.
A big matchup in Peninsula - Lake this week will be when Adam Hyndman's team takes on El Camino. As it stands, the Mustangs are in fifth, while Mark Turner's team is in first.
Mills made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,130 from 11,567.
