The Ysleta Indians will be taking part in a tournament against the Charlotte Christian Knights at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Evan Martinez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Octavio Sanchez also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.
Even though they lost, Ysleta kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Charlotte Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over Desert View on Wednesday.
Jack Beard looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits.
At the plate, Owen Farrell was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Hudson Simmons was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Ysleta's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Charlotte Christian, their record now sits at 1-0.
