The Englewood Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Westside, falling 69-37. Englewood has not had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Thomas Mitchell, who scored six points along with four steals. Jalen Scarver was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Englewood has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season. As for Westside, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-18.
Englewood will face off against the Commanders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully ED White focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Tuesday. As for Westside, they will take on the Braves at TBD on Tuesday. Parker is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
