The National Trail Blazers will head out on the road to square off against the Tri-Village Patriots at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. National Trail will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 711th, while Tri-Village is ranked 144th).
National Trail suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Arcanum by a score of 56-54. National Trail has not had much luck with Arcanum recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Tri-Village was able to grind out a solid victory over Marion Local on Sunday, taking the game 52-40. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Tri-Village has scored all season.
National Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Tri-Village, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-1.
National Trail took a serious blow against Tri-Village in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 62-22. Can National Trail avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
