Baseball Recap: Daniel Extends Winning Streak to Three

Daniel put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Walhalla Razorbacks 16-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Luke Turner looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Daniel got a massive performance out of Spencer Conn, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, Conn posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Liam Purcell was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Daniel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Walhalla only posted an OBP of .158.

Daniel pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Walhalla, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Daniel wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-3 victory against West-Oak on the 3rd. As for Walhalla, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Travelers Rest on the 4th.
