Basketball Recap: Anani Delgado and Raquel Feliciano Secure Win for Bradford Prep

Bradford Prep hadn't done well against Pine Lake Prep recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bradford Prep Bears snuck past the Pine Lake Prep Pride with a 35-31 victory. For the Bears, this counts as revenge for the 63-45 win the Pride walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Leading Bradford Prep to victory were Raquel Feliciano and Anani Delgado. Feliciano posted 11 points, while Delgado put up ten points. That's the most points Feliciano has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Bailey Clark, who earned five points.

Despite the loss, Pine Lake Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Raegan Blickley had 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lea Schwaba, who posted eight points.

The victory (which was Bradford Prep's third in a row) raised their record to 3-4. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points per game. As for Pine Lake Prep, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bradford Prep will host Piedmont Community Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pine Lake Prep will take on Charlotte Latin in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
