St. Frances Academy is 0-10 against Beth Tfiloh since April of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. The Panthers will face off against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
St. Frances Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Concordia Prep on Friday. The Panthers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Saints a 10-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Anthony Mayfield III tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024.
At the plate, St. Frances Academy let Julian Mercer and Dorian Goldston run wild. Mercer went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run, while Goldston went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Mercer is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Yates, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Beth Tfiloh came out on top against Chapelgate Christian Academy on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Warriors blew past the Yellowjackets 12-2. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their one-run performance the match before.
Adam Steinberg was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Ben Wahlberg was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Beth Tfiloh was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Beth Tfiloh has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for St. Frances Academy, their record now sits at 12-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. St. Frances Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 9.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Beth Tfiloh struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
St. Frances Academy suffered a grim 15-2 defeat to Beth Tfiloh in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
