The Palmer Panthers will square off against the Pathfinder RVT Pioneers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
It was a proper cat-fight when Palmer faced off against Ludlow on Friday. The Panthers fell 10-6 to the Lions.

Sebastian Mayberry put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base.
In other batting news, Guillermo Rodriguez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pathfinder RVT). They blew past Gateway Regional 20-9 on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won four in a row.
Like Palmer, Pathfinder RVT also got a great game from a two-way player: Zander Auffrey. He pitched four innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Auffrey was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Pathfinder RVT let Edward Szostek and Brayden Mega run wild. Szostek got on base in three of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Mega went 2-for-4 with five stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Emerson Boronski, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Pathfinder RVT pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Palmer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
Palmer was able to grind out a solid win over Pathfinder RVT in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 6-1. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Pioneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
