Delphi Community is a perfect 7-0 against Tri-Central since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Oracles will host the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. Delphi Community is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
Delphi Community came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Eastern by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. The Oracles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Delphi Community saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abie Pearson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Mady Anderson was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Tri-Central came up short against Wes-Del on Friday, falling 12-3. The matchup marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Claire Conrad was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Tri-Central now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Delphi Community, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Tri-Central's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Delphi Community has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Tri-Central, though, as they've been averaging 11.5 hits. Given Delphi Community's sizable advantage in that area, the Trojans will need to find a way to close that gap.
Delphi Community was able to grind out a solid victory over Tri-Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 7-3. Do the Oracles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
