Softball Recap: Tokay Beats Weston Ranch for Their Fifth Straight Win

Tokay waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Weston Ranch Cougars with a sharp 17-1 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-0 back in April.

Brooklyn Jeremic-Schaede 2027 made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Ava Pasqualicchio 2028 was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April. Another player making a difference was Emma Misasi 2025, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Tokay always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Tokay's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-8. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Weston Ranch, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Tokay will head out to square off against Lodi at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Flames' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Weston Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
