Lompoc extended the longest winning streak in Los Padres this week by beating Santa Maria, 51-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Braves.
Cabrillo scaled the state rankings by moving to 673 from 717 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Conquistadores climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Templeton 48-14.
Santa Ynez's dynamic duo of Brock Dickey and Jacob Pritchard proved tough for Morro Bay to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dickey threw for 179 yards and 1 touchdown and Pritchard had 72 yards receiving. Nick Nielsen helped Santa Ynez's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 46 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Matt Albright of Nipomo is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,580. He has also thrown 16 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Nielsen. The Santa Ynez star has 32 catches for 430 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Lompoc takes on the Pirates. Andrew Jones' team is currently in first, while Santa Ynez is in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Braves take on Josh McClurg's team. Lompoc has allowed 79 points this season, while the Pirates have given up 167. The Braves allowed 7 points last week as they topped the Saints.
Santa Maria fell to Lompoc 51-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
