Kelly Cramer continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 32 points along with six rebounds and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Zariyah Turner, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kendall Proffitt, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals. Proffitt has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Ashantii Williams was another key contributor, scoring two points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
St. Joseph Academy pushed their record up to 9-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for St. Johns Country Day, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4.
St. Joseph Academy will look to defend their home court on Thursday against First Coast Christian at 6:00 p.m. First Coast Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 604th, while St. Joseph Academy is ranked 210th). St. Johns Country Day will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Bishop Snyder at 6:00 p.m. on January 11th.
