The Harbor Creek Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 74-53 loss at the hands of McDowell. While losing is never fun, Harbor Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while McDowell is ranked 20th).
Several Huskies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JT Delsandro, who scored 21 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Chwatek, who scored 17 points.
Harbor Creek struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Harbor Creek has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for McDowell, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.
Harbor Creek will take on Meadville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Meadville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. As for McDowell, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort LeBoeuf on Friday.
