West Sioux is 7-2 against Alcester-Hudson since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The West Sioux Falcons will be home for the holidays to greet the Alcester-Hudson Cubs at 6:15 p.m. West Sioux comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Thursday, West Sioux was beaten by Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute 69-18.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Alcester-Hudson at home against Menno on Saturday as the team secured a 60-32 win.
West Sioux's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.0 points per game. As for Alcester-Hudson, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2.
West Sioux couldn't quite finish off Alcester-Hudson in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 and fell 49-46. Can West Sioux avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
