The Columbia Bruins will take on the Elma Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
Columbia's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Stevenson with a sharp 23-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bruins.

Wyatt Stelma and Jaden Wang made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Stelma tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Wang pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Stelma also tossed no walks, which is notable because Columbia is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-10 otherwise. At the plate, Stelma went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Wang went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Wang a new career-high.
In other batting news, Dylan Landgren was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was Ben Borton, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Columbia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .683. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Elma entered their tilt with Toledo on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They skirted past the Indians 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since April 4th.
Elma's win bumped their record up to 8-9-1. As for Columbia, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.
Columbia might still be hurting after the 11-4 loss they got from Elma in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Bruins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
