The West Lafayette Red Devils scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Frankfort at home to the tune of 68-21. West Lafayette might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six games by 30 points or more this season.
Adrianne Tolen was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 19 points, 11 rebounds, and ten steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of West Lafayette's points. Another player making a difference was Sarah Werth, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Frankfort's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Mcatee, who scored eight points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Frankfort struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as West Lafayette pulled down 25 offensive rebounds.
The victory (which was West Lafayette's third in a row) raised their record to 10-7. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.67 points. As for Frankfort, their defeat was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-15.
West Lafayette will face off against Warren Central at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Frankfort, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
