Bellingham is 1-9 against Dedham since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Blackhawks will head out to face off against the Marauders at 3:45 p.m. Bellingham is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Bellingham didn't have quite enough to beat Millbury and fell 3-2.

Jacobi Houston was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Houston wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaleigh Simpson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Dedham sidestepped Norwood for a 5-4 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Marauders.
Like Bellingham, Dedham also got a great game from a two-way player: Julia Walsh. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Walsh was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Bellingham's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Dedham, their record now sits at 10-7.
Dedham's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bellingham has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Dedham, though, as they've been averaging 8.8 hits. Given Bellingham's sizable advantage in that area, the Marauders will need to find a way to close that gap.
Bellingham might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Dedham in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Blackhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
