Preuss UCSD had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.6 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Monday. Everything went their way against the Ocean View Christian Patriots as they made off with a 72-48 victory. The Tritons pushed the score to 60-31 by the end of the third, a deficit the Patriots cut but never quite recovered from.

Preuss UCSD's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Pedro Arista, who posted 18 points. That's the most points Arista has posted since back in December of 2024. Preston Sterling was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Preuss UCSD pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points over those games. As for Ocean View Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Preuss UCSD will square off against Chula Vista Learning Community Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ocean View Christian, they will face off against Liberty Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
