The Midland Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Crowley Gent at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Midland is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
Midland pushed their score all the way to 62 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Episcopal of Acadiana.
Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Crowley's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Martinville.
Midland has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-15 record this season. As for Crowley, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-8.
Things could have been worse for Midland, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-52 loss to Crowley in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Midland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
