The Ceres Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Mountain House Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, Ceres came up short against Los Banos and fell 32-21. Ceres has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Ceres saw an underclassman step up: Parker Borges rushed for 11 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Mountain House got themselves on the board against Pacheco on Friday, but Pacheco never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 20-0 margin over the Panthers. Mountain House didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
The critical scores for Mountain House came from Chidera Kanu, Callahan Healy, and Jackson Milanese.
The team won by holding Pacheco to a paltry 142 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Mountain House's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out four times before it was all said and done. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Iasiah Genio.
With Ceres' defeat and Mountain House's win, both teams now sport identical 4-4 records.
