In what's become a running theme this season, Mintz Christian Academy gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They breezed by Liberty Christian Academy at home to the tune of 64-30. Given Mintz Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Liberty Christian Academy is ranked 652nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Christ the Cornerstone Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 49-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cornerstone Christian Academy.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from WILL JACKSON, who scored eight points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was WILL JEFFCOAT, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Mintz Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Christ the Cornerstone Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4.
Mintz Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Christ the Cornerstone Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 55-49 victory.
