Springboro had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. Everything went their way against the Centerville Elks as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Springboro got a massive performance out of Nick Hutchinson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run and three runs. Those three runs gave Hutchinson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Drew Davis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Springboro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Springboro pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Centerville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springboro will face off against Badin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Centerville, they will challenge Wayne at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
