The Water Valley Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 50-15 loss at the hands of Christoval. Water Valley has struggled against the Cougars recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Christoval to victory were Braylee Silva and Sophia Nemec. Silva scored ten points along with two steals and two blocks, while Nemec scored 11 points along with two steals. Jae Thomason was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five assists and three steals.
Water Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-15 record this season. As for Christoval, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 25-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Water Valley will face off against the Eagles at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Christoval, they will head out on the road to square off against the Broncos at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Sonora focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Tuesday.
