Lamar came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against King, but Darrell Bush wouldn't allow it. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 79-56 margin over the Texans on Tuesday for which the team can thank Bush, who went 12-for-13 en route to 27 points and five rebounds. King is 2-1 when Bush posts 20 or more points, but 3-5 otherwise.

King's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Lamar, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

King and Lamar will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Panthers see the court they'll take on Humble at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Lamar, their break will end when they face Cesar E. Chavez at 1:45 p.m. on the 20th.
